What the ratings mean for fit
The 5SJ6201-7: The 1 A rating is the continuous current the breaker carries without tripping; at that level it protects a branch circuit feeding a small load — a control transformer primary, a signal conditioner, or a single motor starter coil. The C-curve means the magnetic trip engages at 5 to 10 times rated current (5–10 A), so it tolerates moderate inrush from small inductive loads without nuisance trips. The 6 kA breaking capacity (EN 60898) tells you it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 6 kA at 400 V — adequate for most industrial panel sub-circuits fed by a transformer or a distribution board with limited fault current.
Panel integration and wiring
Snaps onto a DIN rail in any mounting position. Terminals accept 1.5 mm² minimum to 2.5 mm² maximum conductor cross-section — sized for the 1 A load, not for a feeder. IP20 with connected conductors means it is protected against finger contact but not against moisture; keep it inside a sealed enclosure on washdown lines. Installation depth is 70 mm, so it fits standard shallow enclosures.
