The C-curve (magnetic trip at 5–10× In, i.e. 50–100 A for this 10 A breaker) is the go-to choice for mixed resistive and inductive loads where a brief inrush is expected but a B-curve would trip too easily and a D-curve would let a sustained fault ride through too long. The 2-pole configuration (switching both line and neutral, or both phases in a split-phase system) suits single-phase 230 V circuits where the neutral must be switched, or two-wire 400 V line-to-line loads. It occupies two DIN-rail module widths in the distribution board.
Deployment Context
Snap-on DIN-rail mounting (EN 60715) means it clips directly into a standard distribution board or sub-panel alongside other Siemens 5SJ6 series breakers, RCDs, and accessories. The busbar comb system feeds the line side without individual wiring — a time-saver during panel build.
