Siemens 5SJ6413-7 — 4-pole C-curve MCB at 13 A
The Siemens 5SJ6413-7 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker with four poles, a C tripping characteristic, and a 13 A rated current at 400 V AC. It breaks fault currents up to 6 kA per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2, which covers most commercial and light industrial panel feeders.
The 6 kA breaking capacity (both EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2) tells you this breaker can safely interrupt a fault up to that level without welding contacts or cascading upstream — standard for sub-distribution boards where the prospective short-circuit current is known to stay under 6 kA. The 440 V insulation voltage and 400 V rated supply voltage confirm it handles 3-phase 400 V line-to-line without derating. Four poles in four width units means it occupies a standard 72 mm on the DIN rail (18 mm per module) — same footprint as any 4-pole 5SJ6. The C characteristic is the middle ground between B (lighting/resistive) and D (high-inrush transformers); for a 13 A motor feeder, it avoids nuisance trips on start-up while still clearing fast on a hard short.
