What this MCB does in the panel
It protects branch circuits in residential and infrastructure panels against overload and short-circuit faults. Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and 5 kA per IEC 60947-2 at 400 V AC — adequate for most domestic and light commercial distribution boards where the prospective short-circuit current stays under that threshold. The 2-pole form switches both line and neutral in a single-width module, saving rail space over a 1P+N arrangement. IP20 with conductors connected — standard for enclosed distribution boards.
