It's designed for residential and infrastructure branch-circuit protection — think final subcircuits feeding lighting, socket outlets, or small equipment in a distribution board. The C-curve (5 to 10 times In) handles moderate inrush from capacitor banks or small motor loads without nuisance tripping on start-up. Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and 5 kA per IEC 60947-2. If your utility transformer is close and the fault level pushes past that, you'll want the 10 kA variant.
Mounting position is any, so no worry about orientation in a vertical or horizontal enclosure.
Accepts supplementary devices (shunt trip, auxiliary contacts, alarm switch) for remote signaling or emergency shutdown.
