What it is and what it does
The Siemens 5SL3232-6MB is a SENTRON 5SL-series miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with two poles, a B tripping characteristic, and a 32 A rated current at 400 V AC. It interrupts faults up to 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2, which covers most residential and light commercial panelboard applications. The B curve means it trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — suited for resistive or general-purpose loads where inrush is low, like lighting circuits or small distribution boards.
Panel fit and mounting
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail. Occupies 2 modular width units (36 mm total width). Depth is 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm. Mounting position is any — no derating needed for horizontal or inverted orientation. IP20 with connected conductors, so it's enclosed inside the panel. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction avoids outgassing issues in sealed enclosures.
