The Siemens 5SL3263-6 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from the SENTRON 5SL3 series, rated 63 A with a B tripping characteristic. It breaks fault currents up to 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2 at 400 V AC. The B-curve means it trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — standard for residential and light commercial lighting and socket-outlet circuits where inrush is modest. Two width units (36 mm) on the DIN rail, IP20 with conductors connected.
Mounts in any position on a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The 70 mm installation depth plus 76 mm overall depth leaves clearance behind a standard 80 mm deep enclosure. Accepts solid or stranded copper from 0.75 mm² up to 25 mm²; tighten screw terminals to 2.5–3 N·m. Sealable — useful for revenue-metering or tamper-evident installations. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction suits environments sensitive to outgassing, such as clean rooms or certain medical facilities.
Rated for 400 V AC between phases, with a maximum of 440 V AC in multi-phase operation. DC rating is 60 V maximum, so it is not a primary choice for DC circuits above that voltage. Overvoltage category III and energy limiting class 3. Ambient temperature range -25 °C to +45 °C during operation; storage from -40 °C to +75 °C. Does not switch the neutral conductor (2-pole, both poles are protected).
