Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and 5 kA per IEC 60947-2.
At 30 °C ambient the breaker holds the full 20 A rating. At 40 °C it derates to 18.79 A; at 45 °C to 18.6 A; at 55 °C to 16.8 A.
C-curve trips at 5–10× rated current — standard for general-purpose lighting and distribution circuits where moderate inrush from transformers or small motors is expected. The 4.5 kA breaking capacity (EN 60898) covers most residential and light commercial service-entrance fault levels; the 5 kA rating per IEC 60947-2 applies when the breaker is used in industrial panel applications. Sealable terminals (yes) allow lockout-tagout compliance. Mechanical life is 10 000 switching cycles typical.
