SENTRON 5SL3425-7 — 4-pole MCB, 25 A, C-curve
It protects final circuits in residential and infrastructure installations against overload and short-circuit, with a breaking capacity of 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2 at 400 V AC. The C-curve (5–10× In) makes it suitable for inductive and motor-starting loads where inrush current is moderate — think pumps, small compressors, or lighting banks in a commercial panel. Rated voltage is 400 V AC (440 V AC max in multi-phase operation) and 60 V DC max. The 4-pole design (4P) switches all phases without switching the neutral — verify your system's neutral bonding before specifying, as this unit does not include neutral conductor switching.
Mounting position is unrestricted, which helps in dense enclosures where vertical or horizontal orientation is forced by cable entry. Screw terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.75 to 25 mm²; tighten to 2.5–3 N·m. Storage range extends to -40 to +75 °C.
Selectivity and coordination
Energy limiting class 3 and overvoltage category 3. In a distribution board, this breaker coordinates downstream of a higher-rated upstream device — typical for sub-distribution boards fed from a 63 A or 100 A main breaker. The 4-pole form factor suits three-phase four-wire systems where all phases need simultaneous interruption.
