It breaks fault currents up to 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2, at a rated AC voltage of 230 V. Neutral is switched (1P+N), so it disconnects both poles on a fault, which matters for full isolation in single-phase final circuits.
Panel fit and terminal capacity
At 36 mm wide (2 width units), it occupies two adjacent DIN-rail slots. Terminals accept 0.75 to 25 mm² solid or stranded copper; tightening torque is 2.5 to 3 N·m. That 25 mm² upper end is generous for a 8 A breaker — useful for looping through larger feed conductors in a distribution board.
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction, rated IP20 with conductors connected. Overvoltage category III, energy limiting class 3. Suitable for residential buildings and infrastructure per the manufacturer's designation. Touch protection is integrated on the terminals.
