The C-curve (5–10× In) means it tolerates moderate inrush, so it suits lighting banks, small transformers, and general-purpose socket circuits where the start-up surge is higher than a B-curve would allow. Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and 5 kA per IEC 60947-2 — enough for most domestic and light commercial sub-distribution boards where the prospective fault current at the panel is under that threshold. The higher IEC 60947-2 rating gives a bit of headroom if the breaker is applied in an industrial control cabinet where the standard allows it.
The 1.6 A rating is the current at 30 °C ambient; it derates to 1.52 A at 40 °C, 1.49 A at 45 °C, and 1.4 A at 55 °C. The DC rating is limited to 72 V maximum, so this is an AC-only part for most practical purposes. The DC spec covers occasional use in low-voltage DC auxiliary circuits, but not a main DC distribution role.
Width is 36 mm (2 modular width units), depth 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm, height 90 mm. Neutral conductor switching is built in — the neutral pole is switched with the phase, so no external neutral link is needed for isolation. Touch protection is integrated on the terminals.
