The Siemens 5SL4106-7CC is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker, 1-pole, C-curve, rated 6 A with a 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. It operates at 400 V AC (single-phase 250 V AC, multi-phase 440 V AC max) and up to 72 V DC. The 18 mm width (1 modular unit) snaps onto a DIN rail — standard panel fit for residential and infrastructure distribution boards.
Ratings and derating
The C-curve trips at 5–10× rated current, so it handles moderate inrush from motorized loads like pumps or compressors without nuisance tripping — typical for commercial lighting and small motor circuits. At 30 °C the breaker carries the full 6 A; at 40 °C it derates to 5.68 A, at 50 °C to 5.35 A. If the panel ambient runs warm, size the branch circuit for the derated figure, not the 30 °C label rating. The 10 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC (per EN 60898) means it safely interrupts a short-circuit fault up to that prospective current — adequate for most residential and light commercial service entrances where the utility transformer impedance limits fault current below that level. Overvoltage category III and pollution degree 2 suit fixed-installation distribution boards.
Mounting and integration
Snap-on mounting to DIN rail EN 60715, any position. Depth 76 mm, height 90 mm, width 18 mm — one modular unit. Installation depth 70 mm behind the panel surface. IP20 with connected conductors; sealable for tamper-proofing in metering or common-area boards. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction for environments sensitive to outgassing (clean rooms, food processing).
