Panel fit and environmental tolerance
The 5SL4125-7RC: Snaps onto standard DIN rail, occupies one modular width unit (18 mm wide, 76 mm deep, 90 mm tall). Mount in any position — no derating for orientation. IP20 with conductors connected, so it's for inside a closed panel, not washdown duty. Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C, which covers unheated electrical rooms and hot utility closets. Pollution degree 2 and overvoltage category III are what you expect for a fixed-installation breaker in a residential or infrastructure panel.
What about the DC rating?
Rated for DC operation up to 72 V maximum. That's useful for small DC sub-circuits in the same panel — control power, signal supplies — but the main job here is AC branch-circuit protection. Power loss per pole at rated current is 2.92 W, so thermal buildup inside a densely packed enclosure is manageable.
