What it is and what the ratings mean
The Siemens 5SL4306-6CC is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with a B-curve trip characteristic, rated 6 A at 400 V AC and a 10 kA breaking capacity. The B-curve means it trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — designed for resistive and general-purpose loads where inrush is modest, not for motor or transformer starts that need a C or D curve. The 10 kA breaking capacity at 400 V is the standard domestic and light commercial fault level; it safely interrupts a short-circuit up to that current without welding contacts or cascading failure upstream.
Where it fits in the panel
This MCB snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail in a distribution board or sub-panel. Three-pole format covers three-phase loads or three single-phase circuits ganged together. The 6 A rating suits lighting circuits, small control transformers, or PLC power supplies drawing under 1.5 kVA per phase.
