The Siemens 5SL4315-8 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with a D tripping characteristic, rated 1.6 A at 400 V AC across three poles. The D curve means it tolerates high inrush currents — typically motor or transformer loads — without nuisance tripping, while still clearing faults at the rated 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2.
Rated current is 1.6 A at 30 °C, but the thermal derating curve is published: 1.54 A at 40 °C, 1.5 A at 45 °C, and 1.43 A at 55 °C. If the panel ambient runs hot, that 1.43 A figure is the one to size against — not the 30 °C number. The breaker is rated for 440 V AC maximum in multi-phase operation, and 72 V DC maximum.
Sealable, halogen-free, silicon-free, with touch protection on the terminals.
