What this SENTRON COM compact does on the rail
It integrates an ammeter, voltmeter, wattmeter, frequency meter, and reactive power meter — all with 0.5 % accuracy for current and voltage measurements, per IEC61557-12 and IEC62053-22/23. That means one 18 mm wide unit (1 MWU) replaces a separate breaker plus a panel meter, saving a slot on the rail. The neutral conductor is switched (1P+N), and the unit is sealable — useful for utility submetering or tenant billing where tamper evidence matters. It meets IEC/EN60898-1 and GB/T10963.1 for overcurrent protection, with energy limitation class 3.
Panel fit and environmental tolerance
Depth is 76 mm, height 90 mm, width 18 mm — one modular unit. Installation depth is 70 mm. Front face is IP40, rear side IP20 (IP20 with connected conductors). Halogen-free and silicon-free construction.
How it compares to a standard MCB without metering
The closest functional peer without integrated metering is the 5SY6040-6. The 5SL6002-6MC adds the ammeter, voltmeter, wattmeter, frequency meter, and reactive power meter — all at 0.5 % accuracy — in the same 1 MWU footprint. If your BOM already specifies 5SY6040-6 and you need metering, this drops in without rewiring: same DIN-rail mount, same 1P+N pole configuration, same 230 V AC rating. The 5SL3116-6MB and 5SL6132-6MB are also in the same SENTRON family but lack the metering suite.
