B-curve (3–5× In magnetic trip) means the 5SL6016-6 trips instantaneously between 48 A and 80 A. That's fast enough to protect wiring in circuits with minimal inrush — lighting, resistive heaters, control transformers — but too sensitive for motor or compressor starting.
