The Siemens 5SL6102-6 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker — 1-pole, B-curve, rated 2 A with a 6 kA breaking capacity per both EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2.
Mounting position is unrestricted; you can lay it sideways or upside-down in a tight gland plate layout. The IP20 rating applies with conductors connected, meaning the busbar stabs and terminals are touch-safe once wired. Sealable with a lead seal if the panel spec requires tamper evidence.
B-curve trip and load suitability
B-curve trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — so the 2 A version holds through a 6–10 A inrush but clears quickly on a hard short. That makes it a natural fit for resistive loads and general-purpose lighting circuits where you don't expect motor-starting surges.
Compared to the 5SL4363-7, which is a 3-pole C-curve 10 kA breaker in a 54 mm-wide (3 MW) package, the 5SL6102-6 is a single-pole B-curve 6 kA unit at 18 mm wide. The 5SL4363-7 handles higher fault currents and three-phase circuits, but it won't drop into a 1 MW slot — you'd need three times the DIN rail width and a different busbar arrangement. The 5SL6132-6MB is the same 1-pole B-curve 6 kA form factor but rated 32 A; the 5SL6102-6 is the 2 A variant for lower-current branch circuits.
