What it is and what it does
The Siemens 5SL6150-6BB is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with a B tripping curve, rated 50 A at 230/400 V AC with a 6 kA breaking capacity. It's the Italy-market version of the standard 5SL series. The B-curve means it trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — designed for resistive and general-purpose loads where inrush is modest, not motor starting or transformer primaries.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 6 kA breaking capacity at 230/400 V is the standard domestic and light-commercial interrupting rating for this class — it handles fault currents up to 6 kA without welding or arcing over. The 50 A rating on a 1-pole B-curve suits main incomers in sub-distribution boards feeding lighting, socket outlets, or small resistive loads. In a panel, it snaps onto standard DIN rail and occupies a single module width (18 mm).
