At 10 A, it protects 2.5 mm² copper circuits on a 16 A upstream MCB in a standard coordination study. For higher available fault currents (10 kA or above), step up to the 5SL6 series with the 6 kA rating or the 5SL7 series with 10 kA.

Thermal derating
Rated 10 A at 30 °C ambient; derates to 9.43 A at 40 °C, 9.13 A at 45 °C, 8.82 A at 50 °C, and 8.51 A at 55 °C. In a crowded panel with multiple breakers ganged, expect the effective current capacity to drop — size the upstream protection accordingly.
Operating temperature range -40 to 75 °C, with periodic exposure to +55 °C and 95% humidity. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction. Energy limitation class 3 — limits let-through energy during a fault, reducing arc-flash hazard downstream. Touch protection is standard on the terminals.
