Panel fit and protection profile
The Siemens 5SL6210-6RC is a 2-pole SENTRON miniature circuit breaker rated 10 A with a B tripping characteristic and a 7.5 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. The B curve means it trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — suited for resistive or general-purpose loads where inrush is modest, not for motor-starting duty. The 7.5 kA rating at 415 V AC tells you it safely interrupts a fault up to that level without upstream coordination issues in a residential or light-commercial panel. At 36 mm wide (2 modular units), it occupies two standard DIN-rail slots. Depth of 76 mm and height of 90 mm keep it within the envelope of a typical distribution board. Mounting position is unrestricted, and the IP20 rating with connected conductors means it's intended for enclosed panel use — not for wet or outdoor locations.
Environmental and compliance notes
Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C, so it handles unconditioned enclosures in cold climates or near heat sources. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction matters if the panel is in a cleanroom or a zone where outgassing could contaminate optics or contacts. The sealable design allows the installer to lock the toggle position — useful for lockout/tagout procedures on a dedicated circuit.
