The Siemens 5SL6214-8CC is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker rated at 400 V with a 6 kA breaking capacity, D-curve trip characteristic, and a 0.3 A current rating. This is the D-curve variant of the 5SL6 series, meaning it tolerates the higher inrush typical of motor or transformer loads before tripping — the magnetic trip threshold sits around 10–20× rated current, so it holds through a motor start without nuisance trips. The 6 kA interrupting rating at 400 V is standard for branch-circuit protection in a residential or light commercial panel; it will clear a hard fault up to that level without welding contacts. Mounts on standard DIN rail in a distribution board.
