The Siemens 5SL6232-6CC is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from the SENTRON 5SL6 family, rated 32 A with a B-curve trip characteristic at 400 V AC and a 6 kA breaking capacity. The B-curve means it trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — designed for resistive and general-purpose loads where inrush is low, such as lighting circuits, socket outlets, and control transformers in a panel. The 6 kA breaking capacity at 400 V is sufficient for most residential and light commercial distribution boards; it safely interrupts a fault up to that level without cascading damage upstream.
Snap-on DIN rail mounting for standard 35 mm rail per EN 60715. The 2-pole width occupies two modular spaces (36 mm) in a distribution board or sub-panel. Rated impulse withstand voltage and insulation coordination follow IEC 60898-1; the B-curve ensures selectivity with upstream C-curve or K-curve MCBs when the fault current stays within the 6 kA limit.
Compliance Documentation
RoHS compliant since June 1, 2013. REACH Article 33 candidate list information is available from Siemens upon request. Export control classification is AL: N / ECCN: N — no special license required for standard commercial shipments.
