The Siemens SENTRON 5SL6320-6 is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker with a B tripping characteristic, rated 20 A at 30 °C and 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. It operates on 400 V AC supply voltage, making it a standard choice for residential and infrastructure branch-circuit protection where the load is primarily resistive or low-inrush.
The B-curve trips at 3–5× rated current, so it's sized for lighting and general-purpose socket circuits — not motor or transformer loads where a C or D curve would be needed to avoid nuisance trips on inrush. The 6 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC is the standard domestic/commercial fault level per EN 60898; the same 6 kA rating per IEC 60947-2 confirms it also meets the industrial standard for the same fault current. Thermal derating is published: 18.79 A at 40 °C, 18.4 A at 45 °C, 16.8 A at 55 °C.
Mounting position any — no orientation restrictions for derating. Sealable and touch-protected, which matters for lockout/tagout compliance in commercial panels. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction — important for clean-room or semiconductor-adjacent installations where outgassing can contaminate optics or contacts.
