The Siemens 5SL6501-7CC is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker rated 1 A with a C tripping characteristic, 1P+N poles, and a 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. It's built for 230 V AC single-phase circuits in residential and infrastructure panels — think lighting, general-purpose outlets, or control transformers where the inrush isn't brutal but you still need magnetic trip above 5–10× rated current.
The 1P+N configuration switches both phase and neutral, with the neutral pole switching but not protecting (overcurrent sensing on the phase only). That's standard for single-phase final subcircuits where you want isolation on both conductors. Terminal capacity accepts 0.75 to 25 mm² solid or stranded copper, with a tightening torque of 2.5 to 3 N·m — standard screw terminals, no special tooling.
Deployment context
The C-curve thermal element compensates across that range, but expect some shift in the thermal trip point near the extremes — standard for all thermal-magnetic MCBs.
