The Siemens SENTRON 5SL6502-7CC is a 1P+N miniature circuit breaker with a C tripping characteristic, rated 2 A at 230 V AC and a breaking capacity of 6 kA per EN 60898. It switches the neutral conductor and is designed for residential and infrastructure branch-circuit protection.
The 2 A C-curve is a fast magnetic trip — it clears short-circuits at 5 to 10 times rated current (10–20 A). That suits lighting and small resistive loads where inrush is moderate; a B-curve would nuisance-trip on the same circuit, while a D-curve might let a fault ride through too long. In a panel with a higher prospective fault current, you'd need a current-limiting upstream breaker or a higher-rated MCB. That's standard for single-phase final circuits where the neutral must be disconnected for isolation. The 2-module width (36 mm) fits standard DIN-rail enclosures.
Screw terminals accept 0.75–25 mm² solid or stranded copper — no ferrule needed for the larger sizes, but a torque driver set to 2.5–3 N·m is recommended to avoid terminal damage. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction meets low-smoke material requirements for public-building installations.
