The Siemens 5SL6606-7 is a SENTRON 5SL series miniature circuit breaker (MCB) designed for residential and infrastructure branch-circuit protection. The breaking capacity is 6 kA per both EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2, so it can safely interrupt a fault up to 6 kA at 400 V AC without welding the contacts or cascading the fault upstream.
The part carries no official successor because it is still active. If a buyer is cross-referencing from an older Siemens 5SL variant or a competitor's 4-pole C-curve 6A MCB, the key fit checks are the 3P+N wiring (not 4-pole independent), the 6 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC, and the 4 MW DIN-rail footprint. The neutral-switching feature is present on this unit, so it is a direct drop-in for panels that require a switched neutral.
Integration notes
The 4 MW (72 mm) width means it occupies four adjacent 18 mm slots — plan the enclosure fill accordingly. Terminal screws accept up to 25 mm² conductors for the incoming and outgoing circuits.
