What this 4-pole B-curve MCB does
Rated 25 A at AC 400 V with a B-curve tripping characteristic, it protects against short-circuit and overload in residential and infrastructure circuits where the inrush current is low — lighting, socket outlets, control transformers.
The 5SL6625-6 occupies 4 modular-width units (72 mm) on a DIN rail, with a depth of 76 mm and an installation depth of 70 mm — standard for a 4-pole SENTRON 5SL6. IP20 with connected conductors; the touch-protection feature means the terminals are shrouded when wired, meeting the finger-probe requirement for distribution boards. The neutral conductor is switched internally, so no separate neutral link is needed downstream.
Thermal derating and environmental range
At 40 °C it derates to 23.79 A; at 45 °C to 23 A; at 55 °C to 21.85 A. If the panel runs warm — say a crowded enclosure near a boiler or drive — factor that curve into the load calculation.
