The Siemens Betagard 5SL7120-7RC is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker with a C-curve trip characteristic rated 20 A at 30 °C. It occupies a single modular width (18 mm) on the DIN rail, with a depth of 76 mm and an installation depth of 70 mm behind the panel surface. The 15 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 and 20 kA per IEC 60947-2 cover most industrial panel secondary circuits — think control transformers, lighting, or small motor branch protection where the prospective fault current stays under those limits.
Temperature derating and ambient limits
At 40 °C it derates to 19 A, at 50 °C to 18 A, and at 60 °C to 17.2 A.
