K-characteristic 2-pole MCB for motor and inductive loads
The Siemens 5SL7210-3RC is a Betagard miniature circuit breaker with a K tripping characteristic, designed for 2-pole protection at 10 A rated current. The K curve provides a magnetic trip threshold of 8 to 12 times In, making it suited for motor circuits and transformer-fed loads where inrush currents exceed those of resistive circuits.
Temperature derating and voltage ratings
Rated current is 10 A at 50 °C ambient, with a published derating table: 10.9 A at 30 °C, 10.5 A at 40 °C, 10.2 A at 45 °C, 9.8 A at 55 °C, and 9.5 A at 60 °C. Operating voltage is 415 V AC single-phase or 440 V AC multi-phase; DC rating is 72 V maximum.
Panel integration and environmental limits
Mounting position is any orientation. IP20 protection with connected conductors, so it belongs inside a sealed enclosure in washdown or outdoor locations. Sealable design allows lockout-tagout compliance. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction.
