Product details

What this RCCB is and where it goes

It's an instantaneous (non-delayed) Type A device — meaning it detects sinusoidal AC residual currents plus pulsating DC residual currents up to 10 mA, which covers the bulk of modern electronic loads like switched-mode power supplies, VFDs, and single-phase rectifiers found in control panels. Rated 16 A at 40 °C ambient, it carries that full rating up to 45 °C (still 16 A), then derates linearly to 11.2 A at 70 °C — a curve you need to check against your enclosure's internal temperature rise, especially in a crowded DIN-rail cabinet with heat-generating contactors or drives.

DIN-rail fit and panel integration

Installation depth is 55 mm, so it clears most 80 mm-deep enclosures with room for wiring behind it. Supply can enter from top or bottom, which simplifies busbar routing in multi-row panels. The IP20 rating applies only when the distribution board is installed with connected conductors — treat it as a panel-internal device, not for open or wet locations. Touch protection is finger and back-of-hand safe (IP2X equivalent). The panel door or front cover must be in place during maintenance.
