The SENTRON 5SM1346-6 is a 4-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) rated 63 A at 40 °C with a 30 mA trip threshold, Type A fault current detection, and a 400 V AC insulation voltage.
The 63 A rating is at 40 °C ambient; the datasheet provides a full derating curve up to 70 °C, where it drops to 50.4 A. At 60 °C it is 55.44 A. That derating matters for a pump panel or a lift station controller where ambient inside a sealed NEMA 4X enclosure can climb well above 40 °C. The 30 mA trip sensitivity is standard for personnel protection (indirect contact) per IEC 61008-1. The 0.8 kA rated short-circuit capacity per EN 60898 and IEC 61008-1 is the conditional rating when backed by an upstream overcurrent device; the 10 kA SCCR is the maximum prospective fault current the device itself can withstand. The mechanical endurance of 10 000 switching cycles is typical for an RCCB in a distribution board; it is not a switching device for frequent load interruption.
Snap-on DIN rail (REG) mounting, 4 width units (72 mm). The installation depth is 55 mm. Mounting position is any orientation. The supply connection can be top or bottom. The design is instantaneous (no short-time delay), so it trips immediately on a fault current exceeding 30 mA. The silicon-free feature is relevant for applications where silicone outgassing can contaminate contacts or optics — common in automotive paint lines or electronics assembly.
