Rated insulation voltage is 460 V, surge voltage resistance 4 kV, overvoltage category III, pollution degree 2 — suitable for fixed-installation distribution boards in residential and commercial final circuits.
The 40 A rating holds at 40 °C (37.2 A) and 45 °C (37.2 A). At 50 °C it drops to 36 A, at 55 °C to 34.8 A, at 60 °C to 34 A, at 65 °C to 33.2 A, and at 70 °C to 32 A.
Fastening method REG (regular clip), mounting position any. Installation depth 70 mm matches the overall depth. Not sealable — no provision for a lead seal on the adjustment cover. Designed as a companion RCD unit for the 5SL4 MCB series — clips onto the right side of the MCB to form a 2-pole RCBO combination. The 70 mm width (2 MW) matches the MCB footprint for a flush panel layout.
