The SENTRON 5SM2332-0 is a 3-pole residual current device (RCD) unit designed for use with 5SY miniature circuit breakers. It is a type AC, instantaneous-trip RCD rated at 40 A with a 30 mA fault-current trip threshold, operating on 400 V AC at 50 Hz.
Mounts in any position on a DIN rail (REG fastening method), occupying 3 modular-width units. The RCD unit integrates with a 5SY MCB to form a combined RCBO assembly — supply can enter from top or bottom. IP20 rated when installed in a distribution board with conductors connected.
Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 460 V, with a surge voltage resistance of 4 kV (overvoltage category III, pollution degree 2). Mechanical service life is 10,000 operating cycles typical. Power dissipation per pole at rated current in hot state is 3.6 W.
Temperature derating applies: at 40 °C the rated current drops to 37.2 A, at 50 °C to 36 A, at 60 °C to 34 A, and at 70 °C to 32 A. The operating ambient range is -40 °C to 75 °C. The unit is not sealable and has no adjustable delay or adjustable fault current.
