Selective RCD for feeder protection
It is designed for selective (time-delayed) tripping to coordinate with downstream RCDs — that means it holds during a downstream fault so only the branch trips, keeping the feeder live. The 300 mA threshold suits it for feeder or submain protection where a 30 mA unit would nuisance-trip on cable leakage.
Derating and thermal limits
At 40 °C the unit carries 58.6 A; at 70 °C it derates to 50.4 A. The full rated 63 A applies only at the reference ambient.
Coordination with 5SL4 breakers
This RCD is specified as a variation for 5SL4 miniature circuit breakers — it mounts directly onto the 5SL4 busbar stack without additional wiring. The 2-pole design and 70 mm depth match the 5SL4 footprint. If your BOM calls for a 5SL4 MCB, this RCD is the intended companion for selective earth-fault protection.
