The 5SM3311-0KL: This is an instantaneous RCCB — no intentional time delay — so it trips within the standard cycle on a residual fault. The 30 mA rating covers personnel protection in residential and commercial final circuits where the earth leakage path is resistive.
The 16 A rated current and 30 mA sensitivity tell you this RCCB is sized for a lighting or general-purpose socket circuit, not a high-load branch. That's fine for circuits with resistive or conventional loads, but if the downstream equipment includes VFDs, switched-mode supplies, or LED drivers that generate pulsed DC fault currents, you'd need a type A or F RCCB instead. The 5SM3311-0KL won't trip on those waveforms.
Panel integration
Mounts on DIN rail (REG) in any position. Terminals accept 1 to 16 mm² solid or stranded copper. Tightening torque is 2.5 to 3 N·m — a standard screwdriver setting, no special tool needed.
