The 5SM3612-6: The 25 A rating holds at 40 °C and 45 °C, then derates linearly: 24 A at 50 °C, 23 A at 55 °C, 22 A at 60 °C, 21 A at 65 °C, and 20 A at 70 °C. Type A detection means it catches both sinusoidal AC residual currents and pulsating DC fault currents — the standard for modern electronics-heavy loads like VFDs, switching power supplies, and LED drivers. Instantaneous trip (no short-time delay) makes it suitable for direct shock protection, not just equipment protection. Wire range accepts 1 to 16 mm² solid or stranded, covering most panel wiring from control circuits up to feeder-size conductors. The 70 mm depth and 36 mm width (2 width units on DIN rail) fit standard distribution boards; mounting position is unrestricted.
Snaps onto DIN rail (REG profile). IP20 with the distribution board installed and conductors connected — that's a panel-enclosed rating, not standalone. Silicon-free construction, so it's safe for use in environments where silicone outgassing could contaminate sensitive contacts or optics.
