Arc-fault detection unit block for SENTRON MCBs and RCBOs
The Siemens 5SM6024-2 is a SENTRON arc-fault detection device (AFDD) block designed to snap onto 1P+N miniature circuit breakers (5SY, 5SL4 series) and RCBOs (5SU1 series), converting them into combined arc-fault/overcurrent protective devices. It occupies 1 modular width unit (18 mm) on a DIN rail and is rated for 1–40 A at 230 V AC, 50 Hz.
Because the AFDD block is designed specifically for 1P+N SENTRON breakers (5SY, 5SL4, 5SU1), it shares their 2-pole (1P+N) form factor and 2-module-width (36 mm) footprint when mated — the block itself is 1 MW wide. The 230 V AC, 50 Hz supply voltage matches standard single-phase mains in European and many Asian markets.
