The Siemens 5SN6032-7CN is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker (MCB) rated 32 A with a C tripping characteristic, designed for 1P+N pole configuration. It switches the neutral conductor, making it suitable for single-phase final circuits where both phase and neutral need overcurrent protection and isolation. Rated breaking capacity is 6 kA per IEC/EN 60898-1, which covers the majority of residential and light commercial fault levels in European and Asian installations. The C-curve (5–10× In) handles moderate inrush from lighting banks, small transformers, and motorized loads without nuisance tripping.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto standard DIN rail (35 mm) and occupies 1 modular width unit (18 mm). Depth is 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm, so it sits flush in a standard distribution board without protruding beyond the enclosure depth. Mounting position is any — vertical or horizontal orientation is acceptable. IP20 protection with connected conductors — fine for enclosed distribution boards; not rated for washdown or outdoor exposure. Terminal design accepts both top and bottom feed without a combined terminal, so line and load wiring are separate entries.
Thermal and environmental limits
Rated 32 A at 30 °C ambient; derates to 30.4 A at 40 °C and 29.76 A at 45 °C. The storage temperature range spans -40 to 75 °C, and operating humidity is limited to 85% rF up to 45 °C, dropping to 43% rF between 45 and 60 °C. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction suits sensitive environments like data centers or medical equipment rooms.
