What this 1-pole MCB delivers — and where the ratings matter
Its headline numbers: 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 for residential/light-commercial fault duty, and 30 kA per IEC 60947-2 for industrial installations where higher prospective fault currents are expected — the 30 kA figure is the one that matters when you're coordinating with upstream transformers or large drives. On the DC side it's rated to 72 V maximum, making it usable for control-voltage protection in panels with 24–48 VDC supplies stepped up through a converter. The 18 mm width (1 modular unit) snaps onto standard DIN rail, with an installation depth of 70 mm and overall depth of 76 mm — identical footprint to the 5SL series, so it drops into a panel specced for a 5SL4106-7CC without rewiring or re-drilling the gland plate.
Accepts solid conductors up to 35 mm² at the terminals — enough for the outgoing feeder on a 63 A sub-distribution board.
