The Siemens 5SN6202-7CP is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from the SENTRON 5SN series, rated for 400 V AC at 50 Hz and capable of interrupting fault currents up to 30 kA per IEC 60947-2 — that's the industrial-grade breaking capacity for motor control centers and distribution panels where the available fault current is high. For residential or light commercial branch circuits, it also carries a 6 kA rating per EN 60898. Two modular width units (36 mm) snap onto standard DIN rail, with a 76 mm depth that clears most gland plates and back-panel wiring troughs.
The 6 kA EN 60898 rating covers the same part when applied in a domestic or commercial final circuit. Both standards are on the nameplate, so one part covers both worlds. On the DC side, the breaker is rated for 72 V maximum — useful for control circuits or battery-backed loads in the same panel, but not for 110 V DC rail applications. Wire range goes up to 35 mm² solid, which is generous for a 2-module MCB — you can land a 6 AWG feeder without pigtailing. The 10 000 mechanical cycles typical service life is standard for this class; it's not a switching contactor, but it will hold up to occasional manual isolation.
Snap-on DIN rail mount, 2 module widths (36 mm), 70 mm installation depth into a distribution board. The -40 to 75 °C ambient range covers unheated enclosures in cold climates and hot transformer rooms.
