The Siemens 5SN6302-7CP is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) from the SENTRON 5SN series, in a C-curve tripping characteristic. It snaps onto a standard DIN rail and occupies 3 modular width units (54 mm wide), with a depth of 76 mm and an installation depth of 70 mm — a common footprint that drops into most distribution boards and sub-panels without re-drilling the gland plate.
This breaker carries a dual breaking-capacity rating: 6 kA according to EN 60898 for residential and light commercial duty, and 30 kA according to IEC 60947-2 for industrial applications.
Voltage and temperature range
Rated for 400 V AC at 50 Hz, with a maximum operating voltage of 440 V AC in multi-phase or single-phase operation. DC side is rated to 72 V maximum. The operating temperature span is -40 °C to 75 °C, so it works in unheated enclosures or hot machine cabinets without derating for ambient — though you still need to watch the thermal curve above 40 °C for continuous load.
Wiring and mechanical life
Accepts solid conductors up to 35 mm², which covers most panel feed-throughs and branch circuits. Power loss per pole is 1.2 W at rated current in hot state; three poles together add about 3.6 W of heat inside the enclosure, so factor that into your thermal budget if the panel is tightly packed.
