Siemens 5SN6332-8CN — SENTRON 3-Pole D-Curve MCB, 32 A, 6 kA
The Siemens 5SN6332-8CN is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker rated 32 A at 400 V AC with a D tripping characteristic and 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. Three poles, three width units (54 mm wide). Wire range is 0.75 to 25 mm² solid or stranded, terminated under screw terminals torqued to 2.5–3 N·m. Ambient temperature range -25 to +45 °C, with periodic excursions to +55 °C at up to 95% humidity.
What the D-curve and 6 kA mean for your panel
The D tripping characteristic means the magnetic trip fires at 10 to 20 times rated current (320 to 640 A for this 32 A unit). That delay is intentional — it lets motor starting current and transformer inrush pass without opening. The trade-off: on a hard fault, the breaker lets more energy through before it clears, so the downstream cable and equipment must be rated for the let-through.
