What this 4-pole MCB brings to the panel
It's rated 400 V AC at 50 Hz and carries two breaking capacity figures: 6 kA per EN 60898 for residential and light commercial branch circuits, and 30 kA per IEC 60947-2 for industrial panel coordination. The C-curve (trips at 5–10× rated current) is standard for motor and transformer loads with moderate inrush — common in conveyor drives, pump panels, and small machine tools.
The 6 kA per EN 60898 covers standard residential/commercial duty; if your panel SCCR requirement is above 6 kA, the 30 kA figure is your proof point. Multi-phase and single-phase operation both max out at 440 V AC, so it handles 400 V line-to-line plus a 10% tolerance headroom. DC rated at 72 V maximum — useful if you're switching a DC control bus, but not a main DC traction breaker. Conductor cross-section up to 35 mm² solid — that's enough for a 50 A or 63 A feed on the line side, well above typical MCB terminal capacity. Mechanical service life of 10 000 operating cycles — standard for this class, and fine for a panel that sees daily switching.
Width is 72 mm (4 modular units). Standard DIN-rail mount — clips on, no tools. The 70 mm installation depth means it clears most shallow enclosures; check your back-of-panel clearance against that figure, not the 76 mm overall depth (the extra 6 mm is the front toggle overhang).
