The Siemens SENTRON 5SP3235-3 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with an E tripping characteristic, rated 35 A at 400 V AC, 50 Hz. It is designed for main circuit breaker duty in residential and infrastructure panels, with a 25 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. That 25 kA rating means it can safely clear a fault up to that current without welding contacts or cascading failure upstream — critical for selectivity in a service entrance or sub-distribution board.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The 3 width units (about 52.5 mm) occupy the same footprint as a typical 2-pole MCB. Terminals accept 2.5 to 50 mm² solid or stranded copper — that's a wide lug range, so you can land a 50 mm² feeder without a reducer. IP40 with conductors connected, so it's fine for enclosed distribution boards but not for wet or dusty environments. Ambient range -40 to 70 °C, which covers most indoor panel conditions including unheated utility rooms. Shock tested to 30 g, 11 ms half-sine, and vibration per IEC 60068-2-6 at 2 g, 5–150 Hz — it will hold up in industrial settings with moderate vibration.
