The E tripping characteristic provides a deliberate time delay on short-circuit, so it coordinates with downstream C-curve or B-curve MCBs: the branch breaker clears before this one opens, keeping the rest of the panel live. That's the whole point of a selective main. Accepts conductors from 2.5 mm² minimum up to 50 mm² maximum — covers the range from a 2.5 mm² lighting circuit tail up to a 50 mm² main feeder.
