Breaking capacity — what the two ratings mean
The EN 60898 rating governs residential and light commercial use where the prospective fault current is lower. The IEC 60947-2 rating applies in industrial panels where higher fault levels are expected — 20 kA at 400 V is enough for most sub-distribution boards downstream of a transformer. If your panel SCCR calculation needs the higher number, that's the one to cite.
