What the ratings mean for your panel
The SENTRON 5SP4350-6 is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker from the 5SP4 series, rated 50 A at 400 V AC with a B tripping characteristic. The B-curve means it trips at 3 to 5 times rated current — suited for resistive and general-purpose loads where inrush is low, like lighting or heating circuits, not motor starts. The 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 covers most residential and light commercial panel faults; the higher 20 kA rating per IEC 60947-2 gives headroom for industrial distribution boards where fault currents are stiffer. Tunnel terminals on both top and bottom accept solid or stranded conductors, and the 70 mm installation depth fits standard DIN-rail enclosures without crowding the wiring channel.
Panel integration and wiring
Mounts on a standard DIN rail. The 70 mm installation depth leaves clearance for wiring ducts and adjacent breakers. Tunnel terminals accept conductors without needing ferrules — strip, insert, tighten. No special tools beyond a screwdriver.
