It's built for branch-circuit protection where high inrush currents — motor starts, transformer energization, or welding loads — would nuisance-trip a C-curve device. The D-curve holds through the 10–20× In momentary spike, then clears hard on a sustained overload or short. That split matters: EN 60898 is the residential/commercial standard; IEC 60947-2 is the industrial standard. The higher 20 kA figure means this breaker is rated for industrial panel duty where available fault current is higher — a lift station MCC or a process skid, not just a lighting panel.
Integration and fit
Installation depth is 70 mm. Tunnel terminals at top and bottom accept incoming and outgoing conductors.
