The Siemens 5SP4491-7 is a SENTRON 5SP4 series miniature circuit breaker — 4-pole, C-curve, rated 100 A with a 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 at 400 V AC. That 10 kA rating is the standard domestic and light commercial fault level; it safely interrupts short-circuit currents up to that threshold without welding the contacts or cascading upstream.
Mounts on DIN rail or via screw fixing — both methods are listed, so it works in a standard 35 mm rail panel or a bolted-backplate assembly. At 6 modular width units (108 mm wide, 76 mm deep, 90 mm tall), it occupies a standard 6-MW slot in a distribution board. Tunnel terminals top and bottom accept the conductors; supply cord position is any, so you can feed from either end without flipping the breaker.
Environmental and service conditions
